Destination Wedding – Chloé + Nicolas – Fortim – Brazil
Chloé and Nicolas are French and live in São Paulo. They decided to get married on the beach in Ceará. Destinations Weddings are definitely a trend that has come to stay! Travel to an awesome place with your family and closest friends, have a lot of fun and get married! Pretty exciting, huh?
Chloé and Nicolas chose Vila Selvagem Hotel at Pontal de Maceió in Fortim as the wedding venue, because Nicolas started kiteboarding, and went to the location on one of his sailing trips.
Awesome, isn’t? Well, lucky for me, I had the opportunity to photograph this awesome wedding! I didn’t understand 99% of what was said, because the ceremony, tributes, vows, everything, was in French, since both the bride and groom are from France. Even without understanding a word, I felt the energy, the love and the emotions that surrounded those people!
French weddings are different from Brazilian weddings in some ways. Right after the ceremony, there was a cocktail party with live music played by Juracy Montenegro (Jura de Canoa) and honors from the friends of the newlyweds. After that, a French dinner with more honors, this time made by the couple’s family. Lots of fun, lots of smiles and tears.
Until then, it was all a bit formal and with some protocols, but when the dinner ended and the guests went to the dance floor, it was crazy! The guests and the newlyweds enjoyed the party with a lot of energy and explosion, definitely the vibe that we like to photograph!
Finally, I would like to thank Chloé and Nicolas for the opportunity to photograph their destination wedding and also to my friends Rosangela from Hotel Vila Selvagem who was the wedding planner, Michael Brito my friend and second shooter, and Feitosa Films that was responsible for filming the wedding.
